Steamboat Springs Halloween Hayrides

Join us for a local fundraiser benefitting the Routt County 4H Teen Exchange Group! Help us raise money to host teens from New York state next summer!

Enjoy a family-friendly horse-drawn hay ride, trick-or-treating walk through the beautiful Routt County Outdoors on the Elk River, a 4H petting zoo, and a family photo opportunity from 4-6 pm. 

Then, get ready for terror after dark for ages 8 & older only! Haunted hay rides, jumps, scares and screams on a moonlit walk through the willows, and a local horror story with guides from 7-9pm will be sure to make your hair stand up!

Liability waivers must be signed by every attendee and/or their legal guardian. Children 12 & under must be chaperoned by a legal adult for both events. Use this link to print the waiver and sign in advance, or sign at the venue. Parents MUST sign waivers for all attendees they are legally responsible for, even after-dark teens attending the haunted ride without a guardian.

Cash-only concession stands will be available on site for drinks and snack items. 

Pre-registration is required by purchasing tickets in advance. Space is limited and tickets will not be available on site. Tickets will be for a timed ride. Please arrive to the venue 15 minutes prior to your ticket time in order to load the wagon before it leaves.

The location of all hay rides is on the Bar Lazy L Ranch North of Steamboat Springs. This beautiful location on the Elk River is perfect for fall events and spooky creatures after dark. The address is 26480 RCR 52E. Follow the signs once on the County Road.

There will be no refunds due to inclement weather. We will run the event in rain, snow, or shine!
