Have you ever wished that your garden fresh tomatoes lasted the entire year? Craved a fresh tomato in January? If this sounds like you, then come join us for a class on preserving tomatoes! We will make spaghetti/pizza sauce and learn how to can it. While we letting it simmer on the stove, we will learn about other ways like freezing and drying of preserving tomatoes. Once you learn how to can tomatoes in a sauce, then you can branch out and create salsas and other tomato products. Our experienced Board of Directors member Lynn Jaekley has plenty of tips and tricks to share to make your canning experience enjoyable and cost-effective. For just $25 you can attend the workshop learn preservation methods and take home fresh made pizza sauce that you made yourself.
