2024 Opening Night Celebration

Join us in celebrating the Des Moines Symphony's 87th Season and the 3rd annual Harriet S. and J. Locke Macomber Concert!

This pre-concert celebration is filled with live music, cocktails, and dinner at the Savery Hotel. Afterward, hear the Symphony’s Season Debut, where classical tradition meets innovative spirit. Kevin Day's Lightspeed kicks off the concert with kaleidoscopic textures and futuristic soundscapes. The renowned Olga Kern brings the bold spirit of Beethoven's Emperor Piano Concerto to life. Bruckner's majestic Symphony No. 7 is a concert finale like no other.
