Project Outrun Golf Ganza

Vince Rundo, father of Outrun Athlete Joey Rundo, and his friends had the dream of using their love of golf to raise money for local charities. This dream eventually became the event known as the 36 Hole Golf Extravaganza.  Over the course of 10 years, Vince and his friends raised over $12,000 to help support various charities. In 2019, Vince’s son Joey was battling a Stage 2 Wilms Tumor. At that time, Vince, Joey and their family met Andy Shepperd and were welcomed into the Project Outrun Fast Family through. As a result of that experience, the 2019 Extravaganza would benefit Project Outrun, to help provide shoes, swag and support to even more Outrun Athletes, like Joey.  The Project Outrun Golf Ganza pays homage to the original Golf Extravaganza, but is now an event that the entire family can enjoy! A golf outing at Mud Run Golf Course unlike any other, all to benefit Project Outrun.

Project Outrun is an Akron based nonprofit organization that strengthens and empowers kids and families across the country in the fight against pediatric cancer through custom shoes and Project Outrun Signature Swag. This event will help our organization continue to join the teams of Outrun Athletes through new shoe smiles, medal moments, and finish line feelings - because when kids outrun cancer, it helps to have the right shoes! To date, Project Outrun has provided shoes, swag and support to over 5,000 children across the country, and we are getting FASTER EVERY DAY!
