The two-day retreat will be led by Maa Parvathy Baul, a lineage-holder Master of the Bengali Baul tradition, whose fascinating art is rooted in a deep spiritual practice, and Sri Ramachandra Roddam.
What is Baul?
Baul is an ancient yogic tradition of India. To practice Yoga and to encrypt their spiritual realisations in the form of poetry is at the centre of this tradition. The poetry written by masters are mantras, sacred verses used for contemplation on the deep wisdom they behold.
The song and movement are here a kriya, which means a part of spiritual practice leading to invocation of the Divine power within the human body.
What to expect in the workshop?
Typically in a workshop Maa Parvathy Baul teaches a Baul song, which is a "song of wisdom", and unravels some of its deeper meanings. She will also teach body movements that correlate them with the song to stimulate and enrich many levels of our being.
She will be accompanied for the first time to Hungary by Ramachandra Roddam, poet, sadhaka, and also a spiritual teacher. He is the head collaborator of Sanatan Siddhashram founded by Maa Parvathy Baul. He is the author of Devi Bhakti Tarangini which is now being published in Hungarian and is a poetic contemplation on the Divine Mother as the embodied form of Consciousness-Force (chit-shakti rupini).
In satsangs during the retreat, Maa Parvathy Baul and Ramachandra Roddam will directly answer participants' questions.
The retreat will take place near Lake Balaton, a region that possesses a special maternal force field.
