We're walking to fight food insecurity issues in Atlanta, and we need your support!
What is the Souper Walk? The Souper Walk is our biggest yearly fundraiser for our non-profit THE ZADIE PROJECT. On Saturday, September 21, 2024, Souper Jenny's Director of Operations, and the President of the Zadie board, Keith Yaeger will be leading this 29-mile trek across the “Souper Jenny Trail” with the goal of raising $35,000.
What is The Zadie Project? The Zadie Project is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization helping to feed and educate, children, families, and seniors affected by food insecurity in Atlanta. The Zadie Project currently distributes over 800 quarts of soup per week to those in need.
Want to WALK with KEITH? Of course, you do! What is better than spending a day outside, exercising with a bunch of fun people, and raising money/bringing attention to a great cause? We will start walking from the Souper Jenny Roswell location EXACTLY at 7 am that Saturday and then travel to each Souper Jenny location throughout the city. The first "leg" is 12 miles long and we will arrive in Brookhaven at 11:15 am. Then it's four miles to Buckhead arriving by 1 pm and 5.5 miles from there to Westside, getting in just after 3 pm. The final leg to the Decatur location is a total of 8 miles and we should finish around 6:15-6:30. The walk is four "legs" and you can sign up for any, or all, of them.
To secure your spot as one of the 65 Zadie Walkers this year, go to bottom of the page under TICKET DETAILS, select "1" in the box, hit NEXT, and then follow the prompts. REMEMBER to include location you want to start from and your t-shirt size!!
As in previous years, we are asking each walker for a donation. This year we are asking for $200 donation. This year, you will also have a place on our site where your friends can go and support you.
This process takes only a couple of minutes and helps make it easy for us to track.
You will receive a tax receipt once you donate (NOTE: the only way we could handle payment was to set it up with a fair market value of $.01 and then $199.99 as tax deductible. Thanks for understanding).
On the day of the walk, we will provide snacks, a delicious lunch, a commemorative t-shirt, and more. We promise a fun, positive, rewarding, experience.
