Novoa Dances

"In This House" - June 14th & 15th, 7:30pm at Balzer Theater

“In This House” is a contemporary dance work that is loosely inspired by Ibsen's play, “A Doll’s House” and Laura Kieler's (A friend of Ibsen) personal tragedies that inspired his writing of this play. This piece explores themes of family structures, gender roles, and materialism through a queer lens.

"In This House" features contemporary dance choreography by Meaghan Novoa in collaboration with dancers Charray Helton, Isa Newport, Faith Fidgeon, Charlie Baker, Kiera O'Reilly, and AK Bayer as well as original music composed by Dan Carey Bailey, costumes by PhaeMonae Brooks, and video art projection by Sean Dahlman.

Support for this production is provided by Arts & Entertainment Atlanta, City Of Atlanta's Mayors Office Of Cultural Affair, and South Arts.
