LRG Introduction to Strength Training for Runners Workshop

Join us for an empowering and informative workshop tailored specifically for women seeking to build diversity into their training and prevent injuries through strength training. Whether you've been running for years or you're quite new to it, incorporating strength training into your regimen can be a game-changer. Led by experienced Let's Run Girls Run Leader and qualified Personal Trainer, Rebecca Franses, this workshop will demystify the principles of strength training and equip you with practical knowledge and techniques to help elevate your running and improve your overall physical wellbeing.

In this 90 minute practical workshop, we will cover:

  • The importance of strength training -  Why bother?
  • Essential exercises for runners - A curated selection of strength exercises tailored to target key muscle groups used in running including core, glutes, hips and legs
  • Proper form and technique
  • How to integrate strength training into your routine

There will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions and try exercises with different bits of equipment throughout the workshop. Please dress appropriately for a practical session.
