We're excited to show you our garden space, introduce you to our staff, mentors and apprentices, and celebrate Legacy Farms' growth with you, our larger community. As with all of our events, we create opportunities for our apprentices to participate and showcase their entrepreneurial activities, leadership skills and accomplishments... while inspiring possibilities!
Enjoy a beautiful and leisurely summer afternoon of:
- Delicious picnic lunch by Fleur de Cuisine.
- Adult, non-vegetarian - spinach and goat cheese tarts, mediterranean fusilli pesto pasta with grilled chicken & tomato bruschetta, fresh garden salad, and dessert.
- Adult, vegetarian - marinated grilled vegetables on baguette with hummus and sundried tomato bruschetta, mini brie cheese with crisp crackers, assorted fresh fruit, and dessert.
- Kids, non-vegetarian - pulled chicken sliders with potato tots, fruit, and dessert.
- Kids, vegetarian - cheese quesadilla with chips, salsa and guacamole, fruit, and dessert.
- Games and crafts for the children, big fields to picnic, an awesome jumping pillow and farm slide, and 2 scheduled wagon rides!
- Garden tours led by our apprentices & farm tours to visit the Temple Hall animals.
- Silent Auction donated by generous community contributors.
- Musical entertainment by Big Bad JuJu.
- Our Farmers' Market garden tent with our flowers, and our local partner products and handmade items available for a suggested donation...and much more.
- You can reserve a take-home bouquet and/or culinary herb garden trio with your ticket ahead of time so that our apprentices can make it especially for you. Bouquets will include fresh-cut flowers from our garden and herb trios will include three healthy and beautiful culinary herbs like basil, parsley, rosemary, oregano or thyme all potted together so you can place them on your windowsill or put them out in your own garden!
