Thaakat Foundation's Annual Benefit Dinner is a celebration of compassion, community, and the power of giving. This year, we've added a delightful twist to our evening by inviting some of the finest comedians to grace this stage. Laughter, after all, is a universal language that knows no boundaries, and we believe in using it to spread joy and drive positive change.

Benedictine University Thaakat President, Maryam Malkana will also share her experience in visiting our DREAMS schools last year.

With a $40,000 monthly overhead budget required to run six schools, Thaakat Foundation has been in deficit for the last month.

Why do we need you? Thousands of families live in the strewn and burning mountains of waste, in Karachi, Pakistan's largest landfill. Here, 100 tons of waste is dumped daily. In the searing heat of these landfills, we see kids scavenging as soon as they learn to walk. Covered in blisters and boils from the fire of the burning garbage, this is all they know. Walking through piles of trash and waste, often alone, they seek their day's treasures. Working for enough in earnings so that they can eat. You can help change this.
