Join the St. Simons Land Trust
on Saturday, April 20th, at 8:30AM
(check-in begins at 8:00AM)
for a FREE, fun, and informative walk along the
FREDERICA GREENWAY
visiting some of the Land Trust's most visible and beloved properties.
Along this enjoyable 1.5-mile journey from the Land Trust's office to the John Gilbert Nature Trail and back, attendees will have the opportunity to learn about six protected parcels of land, including their history and environmental significance.
Stops along the walk include, from south to north:
EVENT DETAILS/REMINDERS:
◼ Parking for this event is in the back parking lot of St. William Catholic Church (2300 Frederica Road). Volunteers will help guide attendees to parking locations and towards the Land Trust's office.
◼ The event will begin at 8:30 AM at the Land Trust's office (1810 Frederica Road).
◼ Check-in begins at 8:00 AM. Attendees must check-in before the event begins to deliver and sign waivers.
◼ Volunteers will be stationed throughout the group to ensure no attendees are left behind during the walk from the Land Trust's office to John Gilbert Nature Trail.
◼ We suggest dressing for the weather and bringing snacks and water.
◼ For the safety of the animal and attendees, dogs are not allowed at this event.
◼ Alcohol is not permitted on any Land Trust property or at this event.
◼ Heavy rain will cancel this event.

Thank you to all who make a donation during registration! Any donations made will be split equally between St. Simons Land Trust and Bike Walk Golden Isles to help fulfill their important missions. Donors will be included in two separate drawings to win two (2) FREE entry tickets to the 2024 Golden Isles Track Club 4th of July run/walk ($70 value/drawing).
