About event

Join us on Friday 22 March for the long-anticipated second instalment of House of Jazz! Taking place at London's exclusive Saddlers' Hall, we have the absolute privilege of bringing live, immersive music into such an historic and atmospheric venue. The event will showcase the very best of emerging UK talent as well as raise crucial funds for our music education programme.

Leading the music are Abram Wilson Career Development alumni Emma Johnson with her band Emma Johnson's Gravy Boat, and Sans Soucis. The artists will perform individual sets before joining together in a one-off collaboration created exclusively for the night, to round things off with a bang! Also supporting the line up are five super talented jazz musicians from London's Guildhall School of Music, who will be popping up with spontaneous performances across the evening.

Award-winning saxophonist and composer Emma Johnson is the bandleader of Emma Johnson’s Gravy Boat - a cinematic, melodic quintet described as 'one of the most refreshingly imaginative and perfectly configured acts in contemporary jazz' by Trust The Doc. Individually Emma has worked with musicians such as Easy Life, Gregory Porter, Olly Murs, Clare Teal and Los Campesinos! performing across the UK and internationally.

Sans Soucis makes music that invigorates the soul. Born out of a desire to reconnect with uninhibited joyfulness and authenticity of childhood, their music combines elements of Congolese Rumba, classic Italian songwriting, electronic R&B and alt-pop sounds, and has received praise from The Guardian, Paper Mag, The Independent, Fader, The Forty-Five and Pitchfork.

Both artists are well established on the UK music scene and we are thrilled to have them performing at House of Jazz!

The event runs from 6:30 to 10pm. The suggested minimum donation for an individual ticket is £150 p/p, with some fantastic group discounts available of 2 tickets for £250 and 5 tickets for £500.

Your ticket includes all entertainment, a sumptuous bowl food supper with fizz and beers flowing through the night. All proceeds from the night will go towards our music education programme.

Are you new to House of Jazz? Our parties are set in unique and exciting venues, bringing together the very best artists and musicians for a very special night of immersive live music. Our first event was a huge success and fully sold out - you can watch some highlights here. Through the House of Jazz series, we aim to showcase the very best of emerging UK talent as well as raise funds for our music education programme.

With huge thanks to the Worshipful Company of Saddlers for their amazing support for the Abram Wilson charity, and for making the House of Jazz event at Saddlers' Hall possible.

We're extremely grateful to the wonderful Conor Gadd and his team at Trullo, Highbury Corner, London. The restaurant have sponsored the costs of the House of Jazz artists and technical set up, which means that even more proceeds from the night will go directly towards our work.
