We're All Mad Here: 2/8 & 2/15
We’re all mad here, a live 35 minute sound, vocal, and movement performance will be an experimental reenactment of Yoo as Alice in Alice in Wonderland while leading the audience down into the wonderland depths of Alice Hyun. Using various forms of of camouflage (code switching, fabric, body paint) to toe the line between diaspora politics with nationalist inclinations, this performance interweaves Alice Hyun, Alice in Wonderland, and the artist’s own history with ties to US military in Yoo’s own family, to complicate what does it mean to be hunted, seen, or hidden?
**This performance will contain nudity, crass language, and images from surveillance cameras. This is not a performance for children
