The 2024 Northern Forest Recreation Symposium will convene business, non-profit, educational, and public sector leaders to learn, strategize, and build capacity for a representative, resilient, and responsible outdoor recreation sector that delivers sustainable economic and community benefits across the Northern Forest region of Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, and New York. Hosted jointly by the Northern Border Regional Commission, the Northern Forest Center and a regional planning committee, the two-day event will be held on May 14-15, 2024 at the Omni Mount Washington Hotel in Bretton Woods, New Hampshire. The working event agenda can be found here.
We are pleased to announce our keynote speakers are Ta Enos, Founder and CEO of the Pennsylvania Wilds Center, and Chris Estes, Co-Executive Director of the Aspen Institute's Community Strategies Group and author of Mapping a New Terrain: Five Principles for Equitable Outdoor Recreation Economies.
More information about the symposium can be found on our website. This event is sponsored in large part by the Northern Border Regional Commission which has allowed for a subsidized event cost.
