1 in 5 children in Aotearoa live in households with limited access to food. KiwiHarvest delivers rescued food to hundreds of charities nationwide and is the most cost-efficient way of addressing this growing need while reducing our greenhouse gas emissions.  


Our Rugby Legends

David Kirk captained the All Blacks when they won the inaugural Rugby World Cup in 1987. He is a medical doctor, Rhodes Scholar, former Prime Ministerial advisor and Chief Executive of Fairfax Media. He currently Chairs and manages Bailador, an information technology investment fund he co-founded. David also chairs the NZ Rugby Players Association, KMD Brands, Forsyth Barr and the Sydney Festival. He was awarded an MBE in the 1998 New Year Honours for services to rugby. 

 

Nick Farr-Jones played 63 tests for the Wallabies in an amateur rugby career spanning a decade. Nick captained the Wallabies to win the 1991 Rugby World Cup. He also captained a World XV in 3 tests against the All Blacks in 1992 celebrating New Zealand’s centenary of Rugby. Nick has been inducted into the Australian and International Rugby Halls of Fame and awarded an Order of Australia in 1992 for services to rugby. Nick works in funds management in Sydney.

 

Sarah Hirini (nee Goss) is the Black Ferns Sevens captain and was a member of the Black Ferns Rugby World Cup winning team in 2022. Sarah has an incredible list of achievements including Gold and Silver Olympic medals, Gold and Bronze Commonwealth Games medals, two Gold and one Silver Rugby World Cup Sevens medals, six Sevens World Series titles and two RWC Gold medals with the Black Ferns. Sarah has degree in Maori Studies from Massey University.


Our Chef Collective

The KiwiHarvest Collective is a group of iconic Kiwi chefs who have come together to help tell our story, inspire change and advocate for a more food secure Aotearoa.  

Peter Gordon, came onboard in 2021 and since then he has helped KiwiHarvest reach a wider audience through his established network and industry connections. In early 2023 we welcomed four more incredible chefs to the team: Michael Meredith, Brent Martin, Kylee Newton and Alfie Ingham.
