We're walking to fight hunger and you're invited! SOUPER WALK V is Saturday, September 30, 2023

What is the Souper Walk?  The Souper Walk is our biggest yearly fundraiser for THE ZADIE PROJECT.  On Saturday, September 30, 2023, Souper Jenny's Director of Operations, and the President of the Zadie board, Keith Yaeger will be leading this 29-mile trek across the “Souper Jenny Trail” with the goal of raising $30,000 for The Zadie Project.

What is The Zadie Project?  The Zadie Project is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization helping to feed and educate, children, families, and seniors affected by food insecurity in Atlanta.  The Zadie Project currently distributes over 700 quarts of soup per week to those in need.

What’s the plan?  We will start walking from the Souper Jenny Roswell location at exactly 7am that Saturday and then visit each SJ location throughout the city.  The first "leg" is 12 miles long and we will arrive in Brookhaven at 11am.  Then it's four miles to Buckhead arriving by 1pm, then 5.5 miles to Westside getting in just after 3pm.  The final leg to Decatur location is a total of 8 miles and we will finish there around 6 - 6:15. The walk is four “legs” and you are invited to join in on any, or all, of them.

Want to WALK with KEITH?  Of course, you do!  What is better than spending a day outside, exercising with a bunch of fun people, and raising money/bringing attention to a great cause?

To secure your spot as one of the 50 Zadie Walkers this year, go to bottom of the page under TICKET DETAILS, select "1" in the box, hit NEXT, and then follow the prompts.  As in previous years, we are asking each walker for a donation.  This year we are asking for $250.  

We have set the sign up a little differently this year, using this platform to "buy a ticket", and asking for the donation up front. This makes it much easier for us to track as well as to communicate with all of you.  Plus, you will receive a tax receipt immediately (NOTE: the only way we could handle payment was to set it up with a fair market value of $.01 and then $249.99 as tax deductible. Thanks for understanding).  

On the day of the walk, we will provide snacks, a delicious lunch, and a commemorative t-shirt.  We promise a fun, positive, rewarding, experience.   

Remember, 100% of ALL donations go directly to The Zadie Project.
