Advanced Mixing & Production with Richie Beretta

Hosted at Rarefied Recording in North Park, Richie will run through a mix for a song by HAI-LIFE, a rapidly growing house artist & DJ from Brooklyn, NY. Starting with a breakdown of the production elements that comprise the song, attendees will learn about Richie’s decision-making processes regarding instrument & sample selection, arrangement, and sound design. 

After reviewing the production process, attendees will run through a mix for the song from start to finish. From spectral and dynamics processing to applying creative effects, attendees will learn the ins and outs about mixing modern records for streaming & club audiences alike. 

Following the mix walkthrough, attendees will have the opportunity to share their own songs with Richie in order to get their specific questions about roadblocks in production and mixing answered.

A basic understanding of electronic music production and mixing. If attendees would like to share a song with Richie to receive feedback about leveling up their sound, they will need to provide Gallery 130 with a link to their song when they purchase a ticket for the event.
