About event

Wouldn’t it be great to have a kitchen garden full of flavor and nutrition?  On Tuesday, May 16th at 6:00 pm, join Joan Palmer, founder and director of The Institute for Sustainable Nutrition, at Healing Meals in Simsbury to learn how to build and maintain your very own nourishing vegetable and herb garden. Joan, who is also a “Food as Medicine” instructor at Quinnipiac University, will teach us how and where to plant our kitchen gardens, how to harvest culinary herbs and store them for winter, and how these plants can heal us. We’ll also plant and take home starter seeds!

Each $25 ticket includes light refreshments prepared by the talented Healing Meals kitchen crew.

This event is part of the unique monthly Nourishing Ourselves series hosted by the Healing Meals Project. Each monthly event features a different speaker and activity covering topics such as physical wellness, mental health, healthy food swaps, cooking, our relationship with ourselves, and much more.
