About event

In this class, the mystery of glazes will begin to clear. You will discover what each of LPCCA’s glaze materials looks like when fired to cone 6, then learn a simple method of knowing what each contributes to a glaze, and finally invent your own glaze. We will do all this without the usual deep dive into glaze chemistry. If you can recognize the pattern of a short sequence of numbers and letters (ABC123), you can do this class. Whether you just want to gain more understanding of the glazes you already use, or actually invent your own colors and textures for the surface of your pots, this class will help.  Classes will be Thursday nights from 6p-8:30p Sept 7-Oct 12. Instructor is Dottie Baker.
