Evanhoe Memorial Signage Fund
Mike, who was friend and mentor to so many, spent nearly 50 years improving California’s transportation system – its state highways, local streets and roads, and transit services – to serve the state’s economic and population growth. Mike started his career as a Caltrans Right of Way Agent, became the first Executive Director of the California Transportation Commission, then numerous executive leadership positions. Mike retired from Santa Clara Valley Transportation Agency in the early 2000’s. He retired from Gray Bowen Scott in 2014. Sadly, during November 2021, Mike passed away.
Assembly Concurrent Resolution No. 152 designated the interchange of State Highway Routes 85 and 101 in the City of San Jose as the Michael Evanhoe Interchange with the designation effective upon Mike’s retirement from the Valley Transportation Authority and from transportation consulting.
