Goal

My name is Ethan Khan, and I am a 21-year-old college student. My goal is to run 125 miles from Philadelphia to New York City on May 20th, the day after I graduate from college. Physical fitness has been a key part of my life, and this opportunity combines my love for endurance running with sustainable, community-based aid.

I have experienced many injuries, from breaking my tibia to tearing my ACL. These struggles taught me how to respond to hardship. In 2025, I found myself signing up for the MissionCleanWater Westfield Ultra 3hr race, finishing first and never looking back. Since proving to myself that I could compete in these events, I have run a 31.1-mile (50K) run and a 62.2-mile (100K) run. I am looking to double my longest effort and complete this run across 3 states.

Growing up the son of an immigrant and the grandson of immigrants, I know the importance of giving back. MissionCleanWater embodies the true service of people who need it. I am running this race to raise money and awareness for MissionCleanWater, to represent the underrepresented, and to fight for clean water.
