Some years back, I suffered an eye injury but did not have money for proper treatment. This led to my blindness - a disability that is giving me a hard time in finding work. I cannot work and the medications for my eyes are really expensive. Both my children are in school and I feel like their main parent figure to guide them is missing. My husband had a great positive influence on the children and his sudden passing away shattered them. Since then, I have been trying to gather the pieces together as the head of the family. We are grateful that the Social Welfare Department of our district is lending our family a fridge so I can sell water for our living. But with two kids in school full time, my medical bills etc it is hard for me to earn enough to keep up with our needs. AFIM has been generous enough to understand our problem and donated food and essentials to us. They have also been working to support my children.
