As the Executive Director of ESLC, I see firsthand the incredible determination and resilience of our adult learners each day. They come to us with dreams of better lives for themselves and their families—goals of gaining employment, becoming U.S. citizens, building stronger communities, and breaking down language barriers. And each day, they take one more step toward achieving those dreams.

In the 2023-24 school year, we served 665 learners across Utah, with a remarkable 63% of those posttested making level gains in their language skills. Our work is far from over. The demand for our classes continues to grow, and the waiting list reminds us that there are so many more people who need and want access to our programs. To continue this vital work, we need your support.
