As 2024 draws to a close, I am inviting friends and family to consider making their own literacy legacy by supporting the English Skills Learning Center (ESLC). Since I started working as staff at the organization in 2015, the ESLC has grown more than I could have ever imagined.

As the board chair, I am deeply committed to ensuring that we all leave a literacy legacy for future generations. That is why I am asking for your help to finish out the year strong. 

Your Gift Matters

In 2023, we served 665 English language learners with high-quality, low-cost, accessible English classes. These students attended an average of 139 hours of instruction. 63% of learners achieved as least one level gain on a standardized assessment. When you consider how many of our students have limited formal education and limited literacy skills in their first language, you will realize how remarkable these outcomes are. The ESLC is truly a leader in student outcomes locally and nationally!

Your gift powers our English program to help adult learners achieve American citizenship, improve employment prospects, and thrive in our community.
