Puerto Rico enfrenta una serie de retos que limitan el progreso de nuestras familias: la emigración masiva, la pérdida de capital humano y la baja natalidad. Estos desafíos están dividiendo a nuestras familias y haciendo que amigos y seres queridos se vean obligados a buscar oportunidades fuera de Puerto Rico. Sin embargo, existen soluciones.
Desde el Instituto del Desarrollo de la Juventud (IDJ) impulsamos cambios sistémicos que permitan a las familias quedarse unidas, sin tener que despedirse de los suyos. No queremos que ninguna familia tenga que elegir entre su tierra y su bienestar. Podemos construir un Puerto Rico donde cada niño, niña y joven vea un futuro próspero sin tener que dejar atrás a quienes más ama.
Para que este trabajo sea posible y podamos seguir promoviendo soluciones que beneficien a las familias con niños, niñas y jóvenes, necesitamos su apoyo.

Puerto Rico faces a series of challenges that limit the progress of our families: mass emigration, the loss of human capital, and low birth rates. These challenges are dividing our families, forcing friends and loved ones to seek opportunities outside of Puerto Rico. However, there are solutions.
At the Youth Development Institute (IDJ), we drive systemic changes that enable families to stay united, without having to say goodbye to their loved ones. We believe no family should have to choose between their homeland and their well-being. Together, we can build a Puerto Rico where every child and young person envisions a prosperous future without leaving behind those they love most.
