HELP US END THE GUGA HUNT FOREVER

16KM TO AMEND SECTION 16 OF THE WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT

For the first time in history, NatureScot has rejected the licence for the Guga hunt, saving up to 2,000 young Gannets from being taken from their nests and killed.

This is a huge victory, but it is not yet permanent. As long as the exemption within Section 16 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act remains, the hunt could return in future years.

That is why I am walking 16 kilometres around the Scottish Parliament dressed as a Gannet: as a powerful reminder to those at the heart of Scottish politics that removing a single line from the law could protect these seabirds forever.

Please sponsor my walk and help us raise £16,000 for the next stage of this campaign and Protect the Wild’s wider work for Scottish wildlife.

Together, we stopped the hunt this year. Now we must make sure it can never happen again.
