At Foundation First, we believe every child deserves a strong start.

For nearly 25 years, we have served as a catalyst for change—bringing together families, educators, businesses, and local agencies to strengthen early childhood education across our region. We’re creating innovative, sustainable solutions where they’re needed most, and laying the groundwork for a child’s educational journey, future career, health, and overall well-being. But we can’t do it alone.

State and federal investments, like quality improvement and childcare access grants, have helped, but funding still falls short. We see the greatest needs among infants and toddlers, families facing economic barriers, and programs working to keep doors open and classrooms staffed. 

Public funding alone can’t meet the full scale of this challenge.
