Emergency Homeless Response Fund
According to the recent Point in Time count, Coos County has about 1200 individuals who are experiencing some kind of insecure housing situation. Around 600 of these people live outside. In this unprecedented time, and in an effort to curb the spread of Covid-19, Coos County Friends of Public Health is soliciting donations for supplies.
Providing resources to people experiencing homelessness is not only humane, it also protects the larger population. The fewer people who are infected, the less it will spread. Viruses do not discriminate! It is imperative we take the necessary steps to mitigate the spread in our most vulnerable population.
The best way to get through this is to work together. Your contribution, large or small, will help with this emergency project.
Thank you for your understanding and generosity.
