Goal
*UPDATE 6/29
The fire remains at 0% containment. Overnight, it has spread to 3,736 acres.
The Ranch is still in "SET" of the "READY, SET, GO" evacuation status. We will not be taking animals back until we get the an absolute "all clear" from the professionals working this fire. Everyone is uncertain on when that will be...
This was a nightmare situation that we never want to happen again, but if it does, we need to be prepared. We must be able to pack up all animals, in 1 or 2 vehicles, in half the time. Now, we have a plan on how to make that happen.
The goal is to purchase enough crash tested travel kennels for all the dogs so we don't have to worry about fitting and breaking down their daily kennels when we have to leave FAST! These kennels will stay stationary in our rescues RV, so we'll be ready to leave at the drop of a dime.
For the 23 Ruffland kennels the total is $7,147.31. They're not cheap, but they're SAFE!
After purchasing the necessities we needed for our animals, we have a surplus in donations, from yesterday, of $1,136. We will be putting this money towards our evacuation plan. Therefore, the fundraiser will be set to $6,011.
If you have a few dollars to spare, we won't say no!!
I've attached a photo of the subtotal for all of the kennels below.

A fire broke out at the ranch last night...
Yesterday a huge fire was catching speed close by, and last night, our street got the notice to evacuate.
We had moved our last load of personnel items up to the ranch and had been "home" for about 5 hours, when we got the notice.
We hit the panic button and had 4 vehicles show up- we were able to get 23 dogs and 1 cat all loaded into 5 different cars and made a safe exit.
We drove around for about an hour while we formulated a plan on where to put the dogs.
It made the most sense to rent the old place as it was still vacant. The AC isn't working well, but we are safe. A mountain of costs we didn't foresee coming, with establishing 2 residents while we are waiting to find out what will happen. The worst part is we left everything behind. Literally everything we use for the dogs on a daily basis, including their food, their special diets for our sensitive dogs, their medications, their training equipment... we left everything😩
If you guys have anything to spare, these animals could use it we don't know if this will be a temporary exit, or not yet. So far the fire is 0% contained.
Anything, anyyyything at all, will help us tremendously right now😢🙏
