      Goal

Please help us secure a $50,000 matching gift to support our exiled writer sanctuary program!

Homes of the exiled writers on Sampsonia Way

Since 2004, City of Asylum has offered sanctuary to writers living under threat of persecution in their home countries. To respond to the ongoing challenges of the pandemic, we need to raise $100,000 to extend support to our existing writer-in-residence, and to invite a new writer in need to Pittsburgh this summer.

To help us meet this goal, a group of community members has offered up a $50,000 match challenge. If we raise $50,000 by April 24th, they will match it with $50,000, meeting our goal.

Any gift you make until April 24th can be matched dollar for dollar, doubling the impact of your donation on our most important program.

Please help us continue to protect writers in need by making a gift today.

      Thank you.

We are deeply grateful to the following supporters for generously offering this matching gift:
