George, you just rode by my hometown of Manhattan, KS! Welcome to America's Heartland. Kansas has so many Ukraine connections. The red winter wheat that has made Kansas the Wheat State is often erroniously called Russian wheat, but it is really Ukrainian wheat! It was brought here by freedom-seeking Ukrainian immigrants in the 1870s. Kansas is also known as the Sunflower State. The beautiful sunflowers that are a symbol of Ukraine were bred from our state flower, Helianthus annuus. Thank you for showing the world that Americans still stand with Ukraine and will continue to do so until final victory over the Orcs. Slava Ukraini!
