Thu-Ha has been a community leader since she was 13 years old. She is driven to finding ways to bring people together and make our communities better.
Thu-Ha was born in District 6 of Saigon, five months after the city fell. Her father, a major in the South Vietnamese Marines, was imprisoned and her mother, a 4th generation literature teacher was forced to raise her daughter alone.
In 1983, Thu-Ha’s father escaped to the United States. He established himself in Orange County and began building a life for his family. In 1986, after 11 years apart, Thu-Ha and her mother were united with her father.
Thu-Ha graduated from University of California, Irvine with a bachelors degree in Biology. Following graduation she was offered a job with Quest Medical, where she has made her career. She returned to the classroom and earned a Master Degree in Clinical Genetics from CSU Dominguez Hills while working full time for Quest. In the 17 years she has worked in medical research she has lead a team to develop new methodologies in medical testing for cancer.
Thu-Ha and her Husband have been married for 15 years and are are the proud parents of three.
