“Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flows the wellspring of life.” ~ Proverbs 4:23
Did you know that 1 in 8 people throughout the world daily drink water that brings serious illness and too often death?
Approximately 1 of 3 people in the continent of Africa are not using nor have access to clean water! The hardest hit regions are those in rural areas of Africa. Roughly 66 million people have little or no access to clean water!
50% of hospital stays in Africa are due to water and hygiene related sicknesses.
Traditionally in rural areas, women and young girls bear the burden of collecting the family water supply. This toilsome responsibility can take several hours a day. This vital effort deprives these women and young girls' access to valuable educational and business opportunities – a burden no woman or young girl should have to bear.
Divine Mercy Ministries International has partnered with Shalom Touch A Life Outreach Ministries to build a sustainable water well which will serve approximately 8,000 people in the communities of Akpoli, Imane and Olamboro LGA, Kogi State! Fr. Nnadozie currently is serving at SS Simon and Jude Catholic Church in Akpoli and the surrounding regions. He is seeking to have a borehole dug to provide a sustainable well which will provide clean water to these marginalized communities which he serves. The well will be built to last for 25 years and will be maintained and serviced by a knowledgeable team of men appointed by Fr. Nnadozie.
Your generous donation will help bring a wellspring of hope and clean water to those less fortunate.
Let’s build this dream together! Donate now! Clean water is the wellspring of life!
