The Livingstone Initiative is bringing significant benefits to communities in Zambia.
Our current priority is to help Father Katete, Director of the Anglican Children's Programme, to open the first secondary school for vulnerable girls and orphans in the heart of Chama District, Muchinga Province, north-eastern Zambia. This boarding school will provide a secondary education in a safe environment for girls in this very remote, rural region, where currently they have no opportunity of an education beyond basic (primary) school and where there is still a prevalence of the traditional practice of child marriage. While the girls are in school, we are also aiming to help families supplement their incomes by improving agricultural practices, introducing aquaculture, finding new markets for their produce and improving healthcare in the community. If you would like to support the Initiative, please DONATE now using the form on the left. Thank you!
