In 2019, Ten Lives established the Forgotten Feline program to provide services to under-socialized cats who are often overlooked and deemed "unadoptable". This population of cats come from various backgrounds; some are born outside and many have been abandoned by former owners—left to fend for themselves, struggling on the streets. These cats are not feral. They are terrified, defensive, and confused.
At Ten Lives, we believe they’re worth saving, and we're committed to rescuing these Forgotten Felines. With the help of our dedicated foster families, we give these cats the chance they deserve and the support they need to blossom. Through socialization sessions, positive reinforcement, and persistence we are able to witness remarkable breakthroughs--big and small. Often, Forgotten Felines are in foster homes longer than their counterparts and this requires additional resources to provide ongoing vet care, food, litter, and supplies. We believe that it's important to set up our cats and their foster families for success and often provide "extras" like special treats, toys, and pheromone diffusers.
Your support ensures that we can provide ongoing and high-level care to our Forgotten Felines and prepare them for forever family life. A one-time or monthly donation can have a huge impact -- thank you!
