The Grand Mesa Observatory needs your help! To a nonprofit like ours, general operating expenses can be just as important as building new facilities or acquiring new telescopes, and with such a lofty goal as the overall promotion of scientific literacy we do not want to lapse on either our materials or our programming. In our case some of the most crucial areas include telescope maintenance, travel expenses, utilities, and materials for our outreach programming, but with such a hands-on approach as ours these little expenses can quickly build up. Your donations will help keep our staff in the schools, it will help keep our telescopes running at night, it will help keep our outreach facilities accessible to all, and it will help ensure that Western Colorado's largest observatory remains a vibrant piece of the local and global astronomical communities.
Grand Mesa Observatory is a 501(c)3 nonprofit educational organization that will provide hands on experiences and educational opportunities to foster a passion for astronomy and science in western Colorado. We will be accomplishing this mission throughout the United States and other countries around the world via remote control of the telescopes.
