Help support our Intersessions Program, a cornerstone of education at Skyline High School. Intersessions offer students the opportunity to get outside—in nature and in their communities—to be exposed to new interests and apply their academic learning in the real world. After an amazing week of exploration, students return to school curious and energized, and may have a new-found passion or life path. Students cap off their intersession experience by formally presenting their inquiry, research, and outcomes at a Student Showcase event, which is open to the public.
Each term the school plans week-long intersessions offering students a mix of physical activity, exploratory learning, social connection, and skill-building. Students can choose from a variety of intersession options each term, like Rock Climbing, Fly Fishing, Music Studio, Aviation Exploration. For 2019-2020, the school plans to offer 3 intersessions, which have been planned for October 2019, February 2020, and April 2020.
Expenses associated with Skyline's intersessions are funded through a combination of private donations, corporate sponsorships, and grants. On average, it costs $600 per student to cover the intersession program expenses for the year. Donations are critical for us to fund these programs. Donations can be set up as one-time or recurring payments. Checks are also graciously accepted - please make checks payable to "Skyline Foundation" and send to the school office.
