Shalom from Jerusalem,
As we approach the Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashanah, we take this time to reflect on the past year – its enormous triumphs, severe challenges, and the exciting work still ahead of us. With the shofar’s call reminding us to awaken spiritually and recommit to our shared mission, we at Outreach Judaism turn to you, our cherished supporters, to help us bring Jews in the church back to the truth and beauty of the Jewish faith.
This year has been particularly difficult, both for our organization and for me personally.
Outreach Judaism is currently facing a baseless lawsuit from Lihi Lapid, the wife of former Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid. She is suing us for 800,000 NIS, and if she succeeds, the work we have done to guide so many Jews back to Torah could be discredited. The legal battle is not just exhausting but also financially draining, as we need to pay for lawyers to protect Outreach Judaism’s integrity and mission. Above is a video that explains the details of this case, and we hope that after watching it, you will see why your support is more important now than ever.
On a personal note, these months have also been a trying time for me. My father in the United States has been diagnosed with terminal cancer, and for the past three months, I have been dividing my time between Israel and the US to be by his side. This has not only been emotionally challenging but also placed great demands on my time and energy. Nevertheless, bringing Jews out of the church remains my highest priority, and I continue to do all I can to stand firm in the battle for the souls of our people.
And the battle rages on. The missionaries here in Israel see our vulnerabilities – with the war in the north and south, many Israeli Jews are struggling, and the Christian missionaries are taking advantage of this fragile time to spread their agenda. We must remain vigilant in defending the Jewish people from these attempts to pull them away from Torah, but we cannot do it alone.
We urgently need your help to continue this fight.
With the start of a new year just around the corner, I ask you to please give generously to Outreach Judaism. Your donations will ensure that we can continue bringing Jews out of the church, fight this lawsuit, and protect the Jewish people from the aggressive missionary assault at this critical time.
May you and your loved ones be inscribed in the Book of Life for a year filled with health, prosperity, and spiritual growth.
Thank you for your unwavering support.
Sincerely,
Rabbi Tovia Singer
Director, Outreach Judaism
