How to help each other -- The equipment cost is high for small time / few time use(s). For example - a shredder. So while we have piles of post consumer waste, sitting around, we do not have a shredder. Problem with buying / building a shredder is the one-time high cost, space required, and that it will mostly sit, doing nothing most of the time. That points to shared ownership, or short term rents / leases. This is where a community comes in. Ideal equipment would be light-weight (shipping costs) break-down to small easy parts to box and ship, and probably not even have legs or a stand, and multi-voltage for various locales. Our local use would probably be a week or two tops, maybe 2 to 4 times a year. Anyone else meet this profile of use or interest? Thanks!
