What a beautiful legacy she has left

My name is Linda (Zizka) Anderson. Pam was my closest cousin. Her mother and my grandmother were sisters. In fact my family, the sisters, and their two additional siblings all lived within a couple blocks of each other in Howell Michigan. Pam was a babysitter to my brother and me. I looked up to her-she was outgoing, fun, and we have many fond family memories. I’m so glad that my son, grandson and I were able to enjoy an afternoon and lovely meal with Pam, Mac, and the family last spring. I was looking forward to more get-togethers when in California. We are happy to honor her memory through DECA, the organization that has served so many young people and to which she was so dedicated. We will miss her very much. Sending love to Mac, Brandy, Stacey, and the family.

We’re Pam’s DC cousins, and we met dozens of her DECA followers when they came for meetings twice a year in Washington. We know how much DECA meant to Pam—and Pam meant to DECA. She was a joy in our lives.

Pam…you will never be forgotten. ♥️

This is from Pam's cousins, Carol Hojnacki and Kathy Head. In June 2021, Carol celebrated her 80th birthday. I (Kathy) asked her what she would like me to do to celebrate--a trip, a party, a gift? She told me she wanted to connect with Pam, who neither of us had seen for quite a long time. We contacted Pam and she was enthusiastic. She insisted we come stay with her, which we did for 5 nights, during which time she gave us a grand tour of San Diego, reserved restaurants, cooked for us, and took us to a lovely picnic at Stacy's. Mac joined us on this adventure and we and he had a great time. Much of our time was spent talking, catching up on our lives. My regret is that we let the demands of our lives get in the way of spending more time together in the past. But when we parted after that visit, we had a plan to repeat this cousin reunion to celebrate Pam's 80th in 2 years, and again 2 years later for mine. So sad that will not happen, but grateful to have had that special few days with our cuz and Mac and some of her family. We will miss her sense of fun, sense of humor and generous spirit.

Mrs. McKenney changed so many lives through her commitment to DECA. She will be missed. Much love to Mac, Brandy, and Stacey.
