Goal
Medicine in Motion (MM) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization composed of a diverse group of healthcare providers whose mission is to address medical burnout by building community through fitness and philanthropic events. In prior years, we have raised money and awareness for cancer and autism research. This year, we have dedicated our efforts to addressing the public health crisis of racism. Your donation in its entirety will be transferred to the organizations of your choosing, below.
NAACP Legal Defense Fund - The NAACP Legal Defense Fund works to protect the most vulnerable in our society. They fight to defend civil rights, protect voter rights across the country and advance the cause of racial justice, equality and an inclusive society.
InnerCity WeightLifting - InnerCity Weightlifting is committed to reducing youth violence and incarceration rates by fostering social inclusion and promoting economic mobility. Their students learn valuable skillset, meet clients from opposite socioeconomic backgrounds and build an invaluable network, all while making a stable living.
The National Bail Out - A Black-led and Black-centered collective of abolitionist organizers, lawyers and activists building a community-based movement to support vulnerable persons adversely impacted by mass incarceration and system racism.
Inala Wangarra (Australia) - Inala Wangarra is a not for profit, community development organization that delivers a variety of sport, recreation, justice, education, employment, health, cultural and arts programs for all ages. They are owned, managed and staffed by local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Their goal is to enhance and strengthen the skills and capacity of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community within Inala and surrounding areas.
