The Focus on the Masters Arts Archive & Library has joined #GivingTuesdayNow, on May 5, as a response to the unprecedented needs caused by COVID-19. #GivingTuesdayNow is a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities and organizations to encourage philanthropy and to celebrate generosity worldwide. Occurring this year on May 5, #GivingTuesdayNow is inspiring people to collaborate in improving their local communities and to give back in impactful ways to the charities and causes they support. How can you give back to your local community?
Donate to Focus On The Masters: Our foundation is the in-depth documentation, recorded oral histories, written biographies, visual library, publications and ephemera that become the artist’s archive and source material for the Artist Spotlight interviews.
Donate to our Giving Tuesday campaign and help us continue The Artist Spotlight interviews in a platform that will continue to allow the public the rare opportunity to learn about the everyday life and work of contemporary artists in our community.
The work of our documented artists from the Artist Spotlight series is then applied to an 8-week education program that is offered to Ventura County schools as well as mentally ill adults (in conjunction with the Turning Point Foundation).
