Goal
I am training for my first marathon, the Marine Corp Marathon. Initially, I thought it would be an exciting challenge to take on with my husband, a first for both of us. But there's another "marathon" I'm a part of alongside my good friend Theresa Beech. Her son Daniel, and our friend, died of osteosarcoma last year. Two years from his diagnosis at age 11, and after enduring multiple harsh and outdated treatments, and losing his leg, his life tragically ended last August. This is not ok, because we can do better for our children when it comes to effective treatments for childhood cancer. Because of Daniel was formed so we can raise money to put towards clinical trials to for treatments that can actually prolong the lives of children with this beastly disease instead of dying. Daniel's Mom, Theresa, is special and amazing, because some of her own findings and research will get these trials going if you help us reach our goal.
As I run the MCM I know that it will never be as grueling, painful and difficult as what Daniel had to suffer. Please support us and all children fighting for their lives. Any amount is appreciated, or help us get to our goal faster by donating at least $26. Thank you for your love and support!
