My sister-in-law was diagnosed with secondary breast cancer in December - then was rediagnosed as primary breast cancer just before Christmas - a huge scare that made me realise funding is really needed for secondary. My whole family chose to donate to charities this Christmas, rather than do pointless presents. So please accept this gift!

I held a Christmas cake raffle to raise funds for your charity. My niece has secondary breast cancer and I have had breast and ovarian cancer. Each year we try to raise funds for cancer charities and this year's donations are for you.

On 10th December 2021, we held a Charity Fundraising Christmas Party at the Ringstead Village Social Club to raise funds for the following charities: Make 2nds Count – a cancer charity giving hope to those affected by secondary breast cancer. Coppafeel – a breast cancer charity aimed at educating people on the importance of checking their bodies. MIND – a mental health charity providing advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. In October 2021, we had the sad experience of losing two friends at young ages. Hatti was diagnosed with breast cancer in August 2020 and sadly lost her battle less than two weeks before her 30th birthday in September 2021. Hatti was a champion of two amazing breast cancer charities, Make 2nds Count and Coppafeel. Our other friend, CJ, was taken too young after a long battle with his mental health. We wanted to continue in their footsteps by raising funds and awareness for these incredible charities, hence our decision to hold a Charity Disco in their memory. We raised £1614 and are splitting the proceeds between the three charities. We hope this helps.

Having recently survived triple negative breast cancer whilst on maternity leave with my second baby and losing a friend and mentor to secondary breast cancer last year, this cause is so close to my heart. More work needs to be done to help those living with secondary breast cancer. A charity event I hosted raised this money in honour of all the ladies I came across who died last year from stage 4 breast cancer ❤️
