I worked admin in an elementary in a small town in central California. I witnessed kids get denied food because they couldn’t afford it. The other admin lady and myself would stock our drawers with snacks and all the kids new they could come to us if they were hungry. Paying off school lunches will forever bring me joy because no kid deserves to go hungry!
