Since about March 2020 Thailand's borders have been closed to foreigners. Since most of our students come from outside Thailand we have been left almost empty, unable to generate income. Our expenses remain high, though, in particular our monthly loan repayments to the banks. For most of the year the Retreat has been running on Master Iain and Miss Pu's personal savings. These savings are fast running out. We believe that the Retreat has benefitted a lot of people and will continue to do so if it survives until travel opens up again. It is also now the international hub for our association - Nam Yang. If you can spare some money at this difficult time, please help us out. Once travel opens up again we will close this campaign. The present crisis has focussed our attention on the potential of donations, though, so from then on we will switch to helping deserving but disadvantaged people to come here and gain the benefits of our arts and our teaching.
