In Memory of Viktoriia Roshchyna. Viktoriia Roshchyna was 27 years old when she died. She was a Ukrainian journalist who disappeared in August 2023 while carrying out her work. In February 2025, her body was returned from Russia as part of a prisoner exchange. A forensic examination later revealed numerous injuries consistent with torture and other forms of inhuman treatment, including extensive bruising, a broken rib, and possible signs of electrocution. The world should never forget Viktoriia Roshchyna or the courage with which she pursued the truth. Her life, and her suffering, must be remembered.
