I’m Georgian-American. For the past 17 years I’ve seen what Putin has done to my motherland. They invaded us in 2008, then forced concessions upon us, destabilizing our society and dividing our people to be subservient to their interests. Today, my friends and family members are all standing up for their liberties and resisting Putin’s continued dismantling of our sovereignty. These are big words and big ideas that many citizens of my fatherland, the US, have fallen out of touch with, and today it is our Ukrainian brothers and sisters who are upholding these rights and values of individual liberty for the entire world. Glory to the defenders, I am certain that your bravery will help ignite and re-awaken within the free world the priceless value of our treasured liberties. Slava Ukrainii!
