Even still- shame on those in my government who’ve abdicated the US’s role behind Ukraine in their fight. The Reichstag fire of 1933 marked the beginning of a dictatorship as fear and apathy allowed tyranny to take root. The parallels today are frightening as ignorance and complacency erode the foundations of our own democracy.
