I've never suffered like the Ukrainian children whose lives will be forever scarred by this horrible war. I don't know, nor can I fathom, the fear of bomb sirens during school time. I hope Russia pays dearly for every Ukrainian drop of blood. I hope the west lives up to its purported ideals of democracy to help Ukraine emerge from the rubble. Slava Ukraini!
